JUNE VIEWS 2009 – Release into Freedom
The intention of the Summer Moksha Sale for EVERYONE is to encourage liberation and a sense of release. The Sanskrit word moksha means just that, freedom and it is one of the main concepts of yoga. You can feel freedom and relief from these challenging times by exploring soul-awareness through yoga. Enjoy the flexibility of choosing from over 35 classes per week, for 9 weeks of unlimited yoga at $99 plus gst. Anytime you bring in a new member, you will also recieve a $10 credit towards your next pass. Enquire soon, and let the summer set you free!
Everything the studio is offering this month will encourage an easier, more creative and happier you. Why not join our community for the Customer Appreciation & Peru 2009 Presentation on Friday June 5th. Doors will open at 7pm for a fun night of playful music, a Peru slideshow, refreshments and door prizes. Please RSVP for this free event but bring a $5 cash donation for our World Vision sponsor child, Jhonaton. We look forward to seeing you at this event, at the beach, at the yogathon and at the studio a lot this summer!
Lori & Staff at Body Harmony
Congratulations Wendy Rohrwasser! Her consistently quiet presence and strong yogic practice are just two of the reasons for choosing her as June’s Student of the Month. Wendy says, “Since joining Body Harmony over 2 years ago, I have noticed a great improvement in my stature and flexibility and has taught me to release the tension I often hold in my shoulders and neck throughout my day. Yoga here has become my indulgence; the thing that I do just for myself. And I am disappointed on the days that I have to miss my class. The teachers are encouraging and thoughtful in their guidance through their classes and I appreciate their effort in developing flows that challenge both our minds and our bodies. My practice at Body Harmony has become an integral part of trying to maintain a healthy, positive lifestyle and I am very grateful to have Lori and her studio there to support me.”
Waking up the feet promotes a vital living connection to the earth. Learn to feel the foot triads and awaken the leg lines to sequence force from the ground up through the pelvis and from the pelvis up through the spine. Cultivating a felt experience of the ground of support through the lower body invites the outer layers of skin and muscle to relax and allows breath to open your body from the inside out. Understand how the pelvic bones feed into the hip socket and force is sequenced through the sacroiliac joints up the spinal column. Exploring dynamic opposition, this workshop includes anatomical appreciations, an inspiring standing flow and a deep unification of body, breath and heart. Sharon has studied yoga since 1979, and has studied anatomy and alignment, and the therapeutics of yoga with Leila Stuart for five years.
