Body Harmony Yoga

Karma is all about action. Most of us are quite familiar with this Sanskrit word that is derived from kri ‘to do’ and refers to actions of any kind. Within matter, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The karma yoga system believes that everything you do, say or think has an immediate effect on the universe and in you! This reaction generated by the atma’s (spirit’s) use of free will, puts in motion the chains of cause and effect that manifest from life to life. For the complex subject of karma, it pays to think about longevity and about whether or not you believe life is eternal. If you agree there is a lot more to life than what you “see”, then you might also want to consider there is universal energy that “stores” our actions for an eternity. When you realize that the body stores information we “forget”, the concept of Akashic records might seem more plausible.

Here and now on earth, it’s the ‘Summer of Ali’ for my family. The monkey in the middle (see photo) brings with it a lot of joy, housetraining, feedings, vet visits and even the occasional tear (I will spare you a photo of that karma). As yes, pet allergies are a part of what I have to live with and they are not fun! Keeping a focus on finding fresh air, a fullness of breath and the positive thought that “it will get better” is what gets me through these days. With all the past and present aspirations to breathe clear with body harmony, it’s not a wonder I became a yoga teacher.

My passion is sharing yoga through private sessions, Friday online classes and hosting retreats. Please consider joining us and book now for the fall “ECO Yoga Retreat” or the “Awaken Your Spiritual Warrior Retreat” to receive the Karma Special discount. Our retreat time together is always so inspiring!

May you have an enjoyable summer making new karma, for this lifetime and the many more to come.

Namaste (I see the light in you)

I humbly acknowledge that I live, learn, work and play on the unceded and traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples.
